Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our handcrafted wax seal tools and their use.
What material are your wax seal stamps made from?
All stamps are precision-machined from solid brass with a comfortable hardwood handle. Brass retains heat well and delivers crisp impressions every time.
Which type of sealing wax should I use for envelopes?
Our classic beeswax sticks are ideal for paper envelopes. They melt smoothly at low temperatures and create a flexible seal that won’t crack during mailing.
How do I clean my brass stamp after use?
Let the stamp cool completely, then wipe with a soft cloth slightly dampened with warm water. Avoid abrasive cleaners to preserve the engraved details.
What temperature should sealing wax reach before stamping?
Aim for 160–180°F (71–82°C). The wax should be fully molten and slightly glossy but not smoking. Use the included temperature guide card for best results.
Can I use your tools on fabric or leather?
Yes. Our flexible wax blends adhere beautifully to cotton, linen, and vegetable-tanned leather. Use a slightly lower temperature and test on a small area first.
How long does shipping take within the United States?
Orders ship same or next business day. Standard delivery is 3–7 days; expedited options are available at checkout. International shipping takes 7–20 business days.
Do your wax seals hold up during international shipping?
Our wax blends are formulated to flex rather than shatter. We recommend using a protective paper envelope and selecting tracked shipping for valuable packages.
How should I store my wax stamps and wax sticks?
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the protective cloth sleeve on brass stamps and keep wax sticks in their original tin to prevent dust buildup.
